Die Berglandschaft wirft sich vor die Fenster des Weingutes wie auf einem Postkartenmotiv der Region. Es ist das Zuhause von Sylvia, Pavol und der kleinen Lina.
In Linas Kinderzimmer begegnet mir das Fragile-Band, das als Verpackungsmaterial in Italien benutzt wird, Sylvia jedoch hat damit Möbel gefertigt. In ihrem Atelier ist es mir auch schon begegnet, ausserdem aber Schwämme, Luftfilter, reflektierende laminierte Folien, Olivennetze oder mit Kunstharz beschichtetes Aluminium. Während des Architekturstudiums liebte Sylvia den Modellbau und die dazu verwendeten Materialien. Davon ausgehend und abgeleitet sind die Materialien, aus denen heute ihre Taschen bestehen. Zu Beginn, als sie noch jedes Stück selber fertigte, entstand der Name Zilla, die Abkürzung von Cecilia. Ein Name, der traditionell nicht nur mit Südtirol, sondern auch mit Handarbeit verbunden ist. Mittlerweile wird weltweit und besonders erfolgreich in Städten wie New York, Tokio oder Hong Kong verkauft.
Aus einer anderen Phase stammen die silbernen Möbel auf der Terrasse. Dort trinken wir den leckeren Wein, der vor der Haustüre angebaut wird und es wird lustig bis in die Nacht. Als jetzt stolze Besitzerin einer Schwammtasche werde ich mich immer gerne daran zurück erinnern. Ein Weingut scheint ein wunderbarer Ort zum Leben!

The mountain landscape throws itself in front of the vineyards windows like a postcard picture of the region. It is the home of Sylvia, Pavol and little Lina.
In Lina’s bedroom I encounter the Fragile-tape as it is used as packing material in Italy but Sylvia has used it to make furniture. I had seen it also in her studio alongside sponges, air filters, reflective lamination foils, olive nets or resin coated aluminium. During her studies of architecture, Sylvia loved model making and the materials used in the process. Deriving from that background are the materials of the bags she creates. At the beginning as every piece was handmade by herself emerged the name Zilla, a shortcut of Cecilia. A name that has tradition in South Tyrol and is closely related to handiwork. Since then, sales are made worldwide and especially successful in cities such as New York, Tokyo or Hong Kong.
The silvery furniture on the terrace stem from another phase. Here, we drink the delicious wine, which grows right at the doorstep and our moods turn cheerful until deep into the night. As prod owner of a sponge bag now, I will joyfully reminiscent the merry time. A vineyard appears to be a beautiful place to live!
